My name is Nancy Buhr, and I grew up in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. Most of my family consider Luxemburg a suburb of Green Bay.
I am married to David, and we have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. We are currently retired, but I am not "tired”, so the Brown County Jail Ministry is a perfect place to direct some serious energy.
Several years ago, I became aware of the Brown County Jail Ministry when a good friend of mine became the Chaplain there. Just knowing all the challenges, she would face compelled me to pray for her. Being a part of the Brown County Jail Ministry Board seemed like the perfect way to get a pulse on all the needs they faced. Praying is an important part of what we do. Over the years there have been many opportunities to serve in this outreach.
I feel extremely blessed to be a part of this ministry and in the many ways hearts are being transformed. It is truly an honor to see God make a difference in people's lives like this.
This ministry builds my faith as well. Just seeing how God answers our needs is powerful!!! By His grace, we will continue to serve those in need.
