Funding for the Jail Ministry Program is an ongoing challenge. Even though the jail does provide an office space, a telephone and a computer for the use of the ministry, the Brown County Jail Ministry is NOT funded by the county. Primary funding is through gifts and donations. This leaves many needs unaddressed. In addition to staffing, funds are needed to purchase Bibles, religious study materials, ministry and office supplies and faith-based resources. These materials assist inmates with addictions, relationship struggles, emotional healing and spiritual growth.
